Founders from our tenth cohort met in Bengaluru and spent three days getting to know us – and each other – as we chart the beginning of another chapter at Surge, Peak XV’s seed-stage platform for founders.
Surge 10 is special for many reasons: Comprising startups building from India, Singapore, the Philippines, UAE, Australia, UK, and the US, the new cohort of 14 companies brings together a mix of innovative startups with continued focus on AI, developer tools, consumer brands, next-generation fintech, healthcare and more.
We kicked off with some insightful sessions, including deep dives with Shailendra Singh and Rajan Anandan on Founder’s DNA and Making the Most of Surge. We also had Peak XV founders—CRED’s Kunal Shah, Meesho’s Vidit Aatrey, Whatfix’s Khadim Batti—join us to share their reflections, along with sector focused roundtables with founders such as Mokobara’s Sangeet Agrawal and Navin Parwal.
Founders from previous cohorts—Skillmatics’ Dhvanil Sheth, Khatabook’s Ravish Naresh and Plum’s Abhishek Poddar—also joined us to share their zero-to-one journeys with new founders in the Surge community.
Much like the companies in our previous cohorts, we look forward to this cohort’s founders solving pressing problems and augmenting ideas that will shape industries for years to come.
The Surge 10 program will run from October 2024 to February 2025, featuring a mix of in-person and online sessions, and events focused on founder development, go-to-market strategies, product, sales refinement, brand building and more. The program culminates with a US immersion experience, providing founders with exposure to the Silicon Valley ecosystem, where they will visit the Open AI and Notion campuses in February 2025. Surge 09 had visited the NVIDIA campus earlier this year.
As always, each company in the cohort will receive one-on-one mentorship from leading global founders and operators, making Surge a launchpad for startups looking to shine in their home markets and, in many cases, build global, enduring businesses.
In the five years since its launch in 2019, Surge’s curated community has grown to include 350+ founders, 150+ startups and 17 sectors. But it’ll always feel like Day One for us.
