Dezy aims to redefine the dental care experience by bringing together consumer convenience, technology, and dental expertise.
The team at Dezy believes that the cosmetic and preventive dental care industry is an untapped opportunity. With rising awareness and income levels, along with growing wellness and beauty aspirations, the demand for quality dental services is on the rise. However, access to professional dental care remains fragmented, with a significant portion of the market dominated by standalone clinics. In India, the high and non-standardized cost of dental treatments also deters prospective customers. Additionally, comprehensive dental care, which can include high-ticket implants, is often left out of standard health insurance plans.
Dezy leverages technology and healthcare experts to provide easy access to high-quality and cost-effective dental care services. Using a mix of automation and machine learning (ML), Dezy’s platform allows customers to get a digital diagnosis using their smartphones. These insights empower consumers to visualize their treatment journey, providing clarity on timelines, involved doctors, and associated costs. All treatment plans are monitored closely. Additionally, along with its delivery infrastructure, Dezy owns backend infrastructure that includes the manufacturing of aligners and other dental appliances.
The platform also digitizes patient records so consumers have easy access to their dental treatments. Previously known as Smiles.ai, Dezy currently has operations in major cities in India.
Headquartered in Bengaluru, Dezy was founded by Hitesh Kakrani and Jatin Kakrani. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, Hitesh has a degree in pharmacy and has previously worked with Procter & Gamble. Jatin is a specialist implantologist with a CIC fellowship from Columbia University and has also attended Stanford’s executive management program.
