Elivaas is a tech-driven villa and luxury apartment management company that allows owners to monetize, monitor, and maintain their vacation homes in India.
The company started out offering curated luxury villa vacations in Goa to travelers at competitive prices and has now expanded its services to Udaipur. Elivaas plans to make its mark across India in cities with high tourist footfalls before expanding across Asia.
High-end travel has seen a resurgence post the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, factors like group travel and the prevalence of work-from-home have also contributed to high-end travel. The global luxury accommodation market is expected to grow to over $290 billion by 2030, and there’s been a robust increase in the demand for luxury villas in India, with independent travelers as well as families opting for these stays.
While demand for these stays is high, supply continues to be a problem. Only 10% of vacation homes in India are listed on distribution platforms.
Homeowners also struggle with effectively managing bookings. Deciding how much to price a property can often depend on the distribution channel and where the property is listed. On top of that, handling sales can also be difficult since leads can come from several travel websites, travel agents, as well as social media. Ensuring their properties are well-maintained and secure can also be a challenge for many vacation homeowners. Elivaas looks after all these needs for homeowners.
The company’s two-pronged approach helps customers on both ends of the equation: Property owners can hand over the property’s upkeep and maintenance to Elivaas and those looking for quality vacation stays can tap into the company’s services to find accommodation best suited to them. The startup also runs loyalty and referral programs on behalf of homeowners.
Elivaas was founded in January 2023 by Ritwik Khare and Karan Miglani. The duo has spent over a decade in the hospitality and technology space. Before Elivaas, Ritwik held several leadership roles at Citibank and LEAD School and was COO of GCC Business, International Hotels & Global Key Accounts at MakeMyTrip. Karan held leadership roles at MakeMyTrip and Expedia and was Head of Product for global vacation rentals, flights and cars at TripAdvisor.
