Medical coding is one of the most critical components in the insurance claims submission process for US hospitals. However, it is completely reliant on human labor and is plagued with many problems including insurance claim denials, delayed reimbursements, shortage of staff, constantly changing guidelines, and human coding errors. As a result, US hospitals lose an estimated US$125 billion annually to poor billing practices.

Arintra’s AI-powered technology solves this problem by automating medical coding using AI and clinical natural language processing (NLP). Arintra achieves this feat by converting a physician note instantly into insurance claims with 96% accuracy and zero human intervention.

The startup is on a mission to eliminate administrative inefficiencies in the revenue cycle of US hospitals. Arintra envisions a healthcare world where physicians focus only on patient care and all the administrative tasks are taken care of by automation. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Arintra was founded by Nitesh Shroff and Preeti Bhargava in October 2020. Both the founders have PhDs in AI, with a combined experience of over 20 years in deep tech and more than six years in US healthcare. Nitesh is a computer vision expert, while Preeti, who has worked at renowned research laboratories such as Xerox Parc, is an expert in NLP.
